The Importance of Sleep
Sleep? What’s that?
With work, school, parenthood, life in general, most of us are lucky to get four good hours of sleep. Stop that! Did you know that when you sleep your body releases important hormones, your brain recharges, and your cells repair themselves?
Missing sleep cuts all of this short.
Sleep plays an important role in your health and well being. Sleep can help protect your mental and physical health, improve concentration and productivity and maximize athletic performance.
If that doesn’t sway you, let’s talk about heart health. Poor sleepers have a greater risk of heart disease and stroke. Not enough sleep can also cause prediabetes and depression.
