Planning to travel can be fun or it can be stressful. The whole point of traveling is to be able to relax and enjoy life.

Every time I travel I’m always looking for an app to fit my needs. Here are a few apps that I have used during my travels that I found were very useful.

Tripit: 4/5 . This app is perfect for putting all of your trip details into one location. No more searching through emails to fine flight, and or hotel. For a cost of $48.99 a year, the hassle of organizing your itinerary is now just an app away.

Mobile passport: 4/5 (not to be confused with global entry & not to use interchangeably) this is a great way to save time and skip lines. This is only available for use in some most major airports ,and at some cruise ports. Cost may vary.

Rome2rio: 4/5 This app is the GPS of all types of transportation from bus , train , plane , ferry , ride share, and rental car. Just by entering the address, landmark or city as your destination, this free app will provide booking options along with accommodation providers all in one convenient spot.

Nord VPN: 4/5 We all use our phones and or tablets for internet access. This app provides a safe private connection that prevents cyber-attacks via WiFi access all over the world. Yearly subscription cost $83.99.

Hotel tonight: 4/5 Need a place to stay last minute? Hotel tonight is the perfect app for last minute deals today, tomorrow and beyond. Business, pleasure, top luxury hotels to one of a kind boutiques, with just 3 taps and a swipe you’re good to go.

Whatsapp: 4/5 Free communication app affiliated with Facebook is the best way to speak to love ones without charges between the two parties. All you need is 4G/3G/2G or WiFi when available to text, talk, message and video.

Google translate: 4/5 Traveling and need to translate a language? This app provides 103 languages by typing, 59 languages offline, 90 languages text by images just pointing your camera. Viajes felices!

XE currency: 4/5 Money make the world go round and without it we can’t travel. With XE currency puts all your currency needs into one app, rates, to charts and global money transfers.
